Christmas Carols and Celebrations at Trincomalee Campus

The Christmas Carols and Celebrations was held on the evening of 19th December 2018 filled with the warmth and cheer of Christmas, organized by the Staff and Students of Trincomalee Campus. This blessed event took place at the Mini Auditorium of the campus where Rt. Rev. Dr. Kingsley Swampillai, Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Trincomalee was the Chief Guest and Prof. V. Kanagasingam, Rector, Trincomalee Campus was the Guest of Honour. The Deans of the Faculties were present as the Special Guests, with Rev. Dr. Paul Robinson, Council Member, Eastern University and Rev. Fr. Jude Sarvanandham, Parish Priest and Chaplain gracing this special event. The Heads of the Departments and Academic and Non-Academic Staff were part of this joyful evening. The Christmas Carol Songs were beautifully sung by the choir of students in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages with the story of Christmas being read by the staff in between the songs. The guests shared their Christmas wishes with the campus family and the Chief Guest Rt. Rev. Dr. Kingsley Swampillai delivered the Christmas message and blessings. It was continued by various cultural events that celebrated the glorious birth of Christ Jesus in a truly Sri Lankan style. The grand decorations of Christmas, with the Christmas tree and the manger provided the atmosphere of Christmas everywhere.
