United Nations Youth Delegate Awareness Programme

Organized by: National Youth Services Council of Sri Lanka.

Collaboration with: Career Guidance Unit, EUSL.

Target Group: Interested Undergraduates of Faculties of Health-Care Sciences, Science, Agriculture, Commerce & Management and Arts & Culture, EUSL.

Resource Person: Ms. Naushalya Rajapaksha, Official Youth Delegate from Sri Lanka to the 70th UN General Assembly.

Benefit to be expected: The ‘United Nations Youth Delegate’ (UNYD) programme is the only official channel for youth in Sri Lanka to take part in the national delegation to address the United Nations General Assembly at the UN Head Quarters in New York under the guidance of the Ministry of National Policy and Economic Affairs and National Youth Services Council (NYSC).

The awareness programme about the UNYD programme has commenced to encourage more dynamic and diverse young people aged 18-26 to apply and to be the voice of 04 million youth in Sri Lanka at the United Nations.
