Center for Industry Community Linkage(CICL)University Visit Day (Open Day) - 2024
Eastern University, Sri Lanka, celebrated its 43rd anniversary with a University Week from 1st to 6th October 2024. As part of this celebration, an event called University Visit Day (Open Day) was organized for students and the public in the region on October 4th 2024, under the guidance of Eastern University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Vallipuram Kanakasingham, and the leadership of the Director of the Eastern University Center for Industry and Community Linkages (CICL), Professor Kandasamy Arulanandam.
This event, held for the second time at the university, provided an excellent opportunity for the public and students to tour the university, interact with faculty and students, participate in informative sessions, and learn about the wide range of academic programs and educational opportunities offered by Eastern University.

- Career guidance and counseling sessions
- Demonstrations of laboratory science experiments
- Videos showcasing various university faculties
- Overview of the educational environment
- Library tour
- Information and communication technology literacy sessions
Students and teachers from many schools across the region participated in the event. Through a feedback questionnaire distributed at the event, attendees expressed that the program had provided them with valuable knowledge and guidance for planning their future educational paths. They also requested that such events be continued regularly without interruption.
