15th Sri Lanka University Games (SLUG 2025) – Opening Ceremony 

The grand opening ceremony of the Sri Lanka University Games 2025 (SLUG 2025) was held on 4th September 2025 at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (RUSL) with great pride and celebration. 

Honourable Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka graced the event as the Chief Guest, together with Vice-Chancellors, Directors of Physical Education, officials, and student-athletes from all state universities.

Eastern University, Sri Lanka proudly took part in this historic moment with our enthusiastic athletes, coaches, and officials marching together with pride and dignity. 💪💙

Let’s stand together and cheer for our Eastern University teams as they compete in various sports events throughout the Games! 

Wrestling – SLUG 2025

Congratulations to V. Kobikan (Faculty of Arts and Culture) for winning the Bronze Medal in Wrestling (74KG), Sri Lanka University Games 2025 at the University of Rajarata. 

Weightlifting SLUG - 2025

Congratulations to S. Sivapiriyan ( Faculty of Agriculture) for clinching the silver medal in Weightlifting (71KG) at SLUG 2025, University of Rajarata. Your dedication and hard work have truly paid off.
