Invitational University kabaddi championship 2022, was held on the 17^th of September 2022 at the University of Colombo.
 

1. Eastern University  men 1. won their first match of the Men's tournament against the University of Kelaniya by a margin of 31-13 to get off to a winning start
2. Eastern University cruises into a win against the University of Colombo 'B' team at the men's invitational kabaddi championship with a score of 35 - 03.
3. The men's team of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura walks away with a win against Eastern University with a score of 23 -  17 at the men's invitational kabaddi championship.
4. Semifinal
   A thrilling 1st semifinal of the men's tournament saw Eastern University beat University of Colombo 'A' team by a single point to advance into the finals of the men's invitational kabaddi championship.
   The scores read 25 - 24
5. Final  Eastern VS Sabragamuwa in the with a score of 15 - 21.
   Eastern University, emerge as RUNNERS UP  of the men's tournament of the Invitational National University Kabaddi Championship 2022!!!

The Physical Education unit, EUSL proudly announces that A U U Sandakelum of the Faculty of Science was given the best Raider player award of the tournament by the tournament committee.
 

• Mr S Thibaharan (Game in charge/Kabbady )IPE was appointed as the Manager for the teams.
• Mr Demiyan Roziro(Ground man)  was appointed as the coach for both teams.
