Senior National Basketball Championship

The Senior National Basketball Championship is a national event in which all the District Clubs' Basketball teams take part to win the title. Three players from EUSL were selected for Sri Lanka National Universities Women team.

The selection for the team was held at the University of Peradeniya on 13th January 2020. The Sri Lana University Sports Association (SLUSA) appointed Mr.M.Paranithasan, Instructor in Physical Education from Eastern University as the team coach and Mrs.K A N K Kulathunga, Instructor in Physical Education from the University of Peradeniya as the team manager for the Sri Lanka National Universities women team. This Championship was held on 24th ,25th and 26th January 2020 in Batticaloa and Sri Lanka National  Universities women team won the Champion in the 1st time of the history in the National level Basketball Tournament. The Physical Education unit, EUSL proudly announces that P.Shanuja  of Faculty of Arts and Culture, EUSL was given the best offensive player award of the Tournament by the Sri Lanka Basketball Federation. The names of the players from EUSL as follows :
