The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) of Eastern University, Sri Lanka, conducted a progress review meeting on the Institutional Internal Review (IIR) Action Plan for the Trincomalee Campus on 01st October 2025 at the Boardroom of the Rector’s Office. The session focused on assessing the current implementation status of the Action Plan and identifying the next steps to maintain progress and sustainability.

The primary objective of the meeting was to familiarize key institutional stakeholders with the IIR recommendations and to facilitate the effective implementation of the Action Plan. Participants included the Rector, Deans of the Faculties, the Coordinator for the IIR Action Plan, Chairpersons of each Criterion, and the FQAC Coordinators of the Faculties.

The session was led by Prof. P. Elango, Director, Centre for Quality Assurance, who presented the core methodologies and outlined a clear strategy for implementing the review recommendations.

This initiative marks a significant milestone for the Trincomalee Campus, equipping it with the tools and framework necessary to strengthen its quality assurance processes and support institutional development. It reflects our shared commitment to achieving academic excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement at Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
