Discussion on the Implementation of Quality Assurance Mechanisms at Centres, Units, and Cells – EUSL
The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) of Eastern University, Sri Lanka (EUSL), successfully organized a strategic discussion session titled “Implementation of Quality Assurance Mechanisms at the Centres, Units, and Cells of EUSL.” The session was held on 14th October 2025 at the Boardroom, EUSL.
The primary objective of the meeting was to establish a streamlined reporting framework that enables Directors and Coordinators to present clear, consistent, and structured updates on their activities to the Senate and the Senate Standing Committee on Quality Assurance.
This initiative was undertaken in response to the Institutional Review (IR) 2023 recommendations, which emphasized the need for the CQA to strengthen its monitoring processes for Centres, Units, and Cells and to provide comprehensive and regular progress reports to the Senate and Council.
The session was facilitated by Prof. P. Elango, Director of the CQA, and focused on several key aspects vital to maintaining and enhancing quality across the university. These included:
Ensuring the quality of services delivered to beneficiaries.
Adhering to the standards outlined in the Institutional and Programme Review Manuals.
Implementing effective feedback mechanisms and taking appropriate corrective actions based on the feedback received.
This discussion marked a significant milestone in EUSL’s ongoing efforts toward institutional excellence and continuous quality improvement.
