The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) of Eastern University, Sri Lanka, successfully organized a Workshop for the Preparation of Guidelines for Conducting Practical Examinations at the Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies (SVIAS) on 15th August 2025. The event was held at the Institute’s Boardroom.

The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance awareness among academics on establishing a standardized, reliable, and transparent system for assessing practical examinations across all departments, thereby ensuring the credibility and academic integrity of the institution’s evaluation process.

The session brought together the Director/SVIAS, Heads of Departments, academic staff members, the Senior Assistant Librarian, and the IQAC Coordinator of the Institution.

The programme was coordinated by Prof. P. Elango, Director of the CQA. This initiative marks a significant milestone in strengthening practical examination practices, contributing to the continuous growth and academic development at SVIAS.
