Workshop on the Development of the Assessment Blue Print
The Quality Assurance Unit of the Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), successfully conducted a Workshop on the Development of the Assessment Blueprint on March 9, 2026, at the Trincomalee Campus Auditorium.
The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of academic staff in designing effective assessment blueprints that improve the quality, reliability, and validity of assessments, while ensuring constructive alignment between teaching, learning, and evaluation.
The programme brought together academic staff, including Chairpersons of Faculty Curriculum Development Committees (CDC) and Coordinators of Faculty Quality Assurance Cells, who play a key role in curriculum design and quality assurance processes.
The session was conducted by the Resource Person, Prof. T. Sathaananthan, Professor in Medical Education and Research, Faculty of Health-Care Sciences, Eastern University, Sri Lanka. His expert guidance provided practical insights into assessment design and student-centered learning approaches.
The workshop was highly interactive and concluded with participants gaining hands-on experience in developing assessment blueprints and a strengthened understanding of quality assessment practices to support improved student learning outcomes.
