Sharing Good Practices of QA Cells – Eastern University, Sri Lanka
The session on Sharing Good Practices of Quality Assurance (QA) Cells was successfully conducted on 12th January 2026 from 01.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m. at the Seminar Hall of the Staff Development Centre, organized by the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) of Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
The session was coordinated by the Director of CQA, Prof. P. Elango. Each QA Cell of the University presented one good practice implemented within their respective faculty to the CQA and fellow QA Coordinators.
The sharing of good practices provided a valuable platform for mutual learning by enabling participants to understand different implementation methodologies and the challenges encountered in quality assurance activities. This session also offered an opportunity for each QA Cell to re-evaluate its practices based on peer feedback and to further strengthen its quality improvement processes.
Among the key highlights of the session was the presentation on course evaluation practices, and Tea with Dean (discussion between the Dean and the Students representative on teaching and learning) along with other innovative QA initiatives introduced by participating QA Cells. The programme contributed significantly to promoting a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across the University.
