Internal Quality Assurance Cells (IQACs) for the Faculties of Eastern University, Sri Lanka were established as per the University’s Quality Monitoring & Enhancement Unit (QMEU) policy. As per the UGC Circular No. 09/2019, IQACs were renamed as Faculty Quality Assurance Cells (FQACs).

Eastern University, Sri Lanka established FQACs for all its Faculties: Agriculture, Arts &  Culture, Science, Commerce & Management, Health Care Sciences, Science, Technology, Applied Science (Trincomalee Campus), and Communication and Business Studies (Trincomalee Campus). Further to these, EUSL also established the Internal Quality Assurance Cells (IQACs) for the Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies (SVIAS) and the Unit of Siddha Medicine (Trincomalee Campus). Center for External Degrees and Extensions Courses (CEDEC) of EUSL also established its Internal Quality Assurance Cell. Coordinators are appointed for each FQAC and IQAC who serves as the officer-in-charge for these Cells. A Coordinating Committee with the Dean of the Faculty/Director of the  Institute/Head of the Unit as the Chair to guide the FQACs/IQACs.
