Tree Planting Program at EUSL to mark the World Environment Day
A Tree Planting Ceremony was held at the Eastern University, Sri Lanka on 09/06/2022 to mark the World Environment Day with the assistance of the Department of Forest, Batticaloa.
The Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dean/ Faculty of Agriculture, Registrar, Bursar of the EUSL, Additional Divisional Forest Officer, Students and many other officials from the Eastern University, Sri Lanka and Department of Forest graced this occasion.
Meeting with Brandix Lanka Ltd
The Vice Chancellor, Eastern University, Sri Lanka Prof. V. Kanagasingam met the delegates from the Brandix Apparel Solutions Ltd. on 30th May, 2022 at the Office of the Vice Chancellor.
The delegates visited, on the invitation of the Career Guidance Unit of the University for an official discussion to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Eastern University, Sri Lanka and the Brandix Lanka Ltd. to strengthen the career guidance activities of the university.

Media Conference
On March 9, 2022, a media conference was held to describe the plans for the upcoming convocation at EUSL, which is scheduled for March 12th and 13th. This meeting was attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Chairman of the Convocation Committee, and Senior Assistant Registrar/Academic Affairs.

The convocation is the most significant and flagship ceremony in the university system. Every student who enters the University expects to celebrate the convocation. Assumption of duties of 10th Vice Chancellor, Prof. V. Kanagasingam
