Workshop on Introduction to Open and Distance Learning

The Centre for External Degrees and Extension courses had commenced the Diploma in Agriculture programme with the collaboration of Faculty of Agriculture. 

The inauguration ceremony of the programme was held on 10.09.2022 at 10.00 am at Nallaiah Auditorium, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Prof. V. Kanagasingam, Vice chancellor, EUSL as Chief Guest. Dr. N. Pagthinathan, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture was the guest of honour and Dr. T. Prabaharan, Director CEDEC headed the ceremony.

The Ambassador's Scholarship Awarding Ceremony held on 06^th of September 2022 at Auditorium FHCS

His Excellency the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Mr Qi Zhenhong has awarded nearly 4.3 million to University students.

Visitation of the Hon. Governor (Eastern Province) at Eastern University, Sri Lanka on 30.08.2022

Memorandum of Understanding signed between Eastern University and National peace council to conduct a short course for Government staff on ‘Inclusive service delivery’ in Eastern University. This will be a good opportunity for community to receive quality service of the government. 

The office of the Centre for Industry and Community Linkages (CICL) was officially declared open on 07.07.2022.

In the grand opening ceremony Prof. V. Kanagaingam, Vice chancellor, EUSL graced the occasion as Chief guest. Dr E. Srinaath, MOH, Chenkalady attended as a special guest and Dr K. Arulanandem, Director CICL organized the ceremony.

The Eastern University, Sri Lanka initiated actions to establish an Engineering Faculty. The Committee, appointed by the Council of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka (EUSL) to carry out the initial works related to establishing the said Faculty at the EUSL, has recently met under the chairmanship of Prof. V. Kanagasingam / Vice-Chancellor.
