The meeting between the Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, Sri Lanka and the Review Team for the Site Visit of Institutional Review (IR) 2023 was held on 08.05.2023 at the Office of the Vice Chancellor, EUSL.

A Special Meeting with the Faculty Quality Assurance Coordinators was conducted on 19.12.2022 at 02.00 p.m. at the Seminar Hall, Staff Development Centre, EUSL.

The meeting was held with the participation of Snr. Prof. Tilak P D Gamage Director / Quality Assurance Council of University Grants Commission.

This was focused on implementation of the Quality Assurance mechanism at the faculty level.

A Special Meeting of the Senate Standing Committee Meeting on Quality Assurance was conducted on 19.12.2022 at 09.00 a.m. at the Board Room, EUSL.

The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor with the participation of Snr. Prof. Tilak P D Gamage Director / Quality Assurance Council of University Grants Commission.

This was focused on implementation of the Quality Assurance mechanism at the University level.

Workshop on Internal Review 2022 was conducted to the Heads of Departments and Coordinators of Disciplines of the Faculty of Arts and Culture Eastern University, Sri Lanka on 12.12.2022 at 10.30 a.m. at the Board Room of the Faculty of Arts and Culture EUSL.

The resource person for the workshop was Dr. P.Elango – Director / Centre for Quality Assurance, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

The workshop was held with the participation of Dr.V.Gunapalasingam, Dean/Arts & Culture.

A Self-Evaluation Report writing meeting of Institutional Review was held on 13.10.2022 at CQA Board Room, EUSL.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. V.Kanagasingam chaired the meeting, and the Deans of the Faculties, Dr. P. Elango – Director / CQA, Registrar, Advisory Committee of the SER Writing, and SER Writing Team are participated in this meeting.   

Prof. M.I.S. Safeena was invited for the meeting, and she shared experiences on Institutional Review.

(Recommended at the 336th Senate meeting held on 19.07.2022 and Approved at the 325th Council meeting held on 30.07.2022. The Effective Date of this manual is 1st of August 2022.)

Workshop on Internal Review 2022 was conducted for the Internal Reviewers of Eastern University, Sri Lanka on 05.10.2022 from 09.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at Seminar Hall of Staff Development Centre, EUSL.

The resource person for the workshop was Dr P. Elango – Director / Centre for Quality Assurance, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

The Internal Review was scheduled to be conducted in the Academic Departments of EUSL in 2022.

Awareness Programme on Institutional Review 2021 was conducted to the Administrative Officers of Eastern University, Sri Lanka, and Swami Vipulanada Institute of Aesthetic Studies from 01^st June 2022 at 01.30 p.m. to 03.30 p.m., and 03^rd June 2022 at 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. at Board Room, EUSL.

The resource person for the programme was Dr P. Elango – Director / Centre for Quality Assurance, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
