 Visit of the Minister of Science and Technology to the Techno Park, EUSL

A discussion on the establishment of a Technology Incubation Centre in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology was held at the Techno Park, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, on 19th July 2025.

The proposed Centre aims to provide state-of-the-art research and development facilities, including design and manufacturing technologies and consultation on business development and intellectual property. It is expected to serve as a hub for scientists, researchers, graduates, and innovators to transform ideas into practical solutions.

The event was attended by Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena, Hon. Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Mohamed Nawavi, Secretary to the Ministry of Science and Technology, Prof. Pararajasingam Peratheepan, Vice-Chancellor, Eastern University, Sri Lanka; Mrs. J.J. Muralitharan, District Secretary, Batticaloa; Kandasami Prabhu, Hon. Member of Parliament for Batticaloa District; and senior ministry officials.
